New Delhi. There was a stir due to the information of a bomb in an IndiGo flight going from Delhi to Varanasi. After this, as a precaution, the plane was immediately taken to an isolation bay for investigation. An airport official told news agency ANI that aviation security and a bomb disposal team are currently on the spot.
'Bomb' was written on tissue paper
In this regard, a CISF official said, "A tissue paper with the word 'bomb' written on it was found in the toilet of an Indigo flight (6E2211) from Delhi to Varanasi at Delhi airport. Following this, security agencies conducted an inspection but it turned out to be a rumour.
All passengers were evacuated safely
According to Delhi Fire Service, there was a report of a bomb in a flight going from Delhi to Varanasi at 5:35 am on Tuesday. On this, the Quick Response Team (QRT) reached the spot. All the passengers were evacuated through the emergency gate. All the passengers are safe, the flight is being inspected.
IndiGo said that IndiGo flight (6E2211) from Delhi to Varanasi received a bomb threat at IGI Airport. All necessary protocols were followed and as per the guidelines of airport security agencies, the aircraft was taken to the remote bay, where all the passengers were safely evacuated through the emergency gate. The flight is currently under inspection. After all the security checks are completed, the aircraft will be brought back to the terminal area.
