Weather Update: This time there are repeated warnings regarding heat. The month of April has started and the heat is increasing day by day. The news of relief amidst this scorching heat is that the rainy season is going to continue in the coming days. There is news of relief from the scorching heat in the national capital at the end of the week.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of lightning and strong winds along with sporadic rain in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, and Delhi between April 13 and 14. Whereas, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Thunderstorm, lightning, hailstorms, and strong winds are also expected in the states and union territories including north-western Uttar Pradesh between April 13 and 15.

How will be the weather in Delhi? 

The mercury in Delhi has been above 40 for two consecutive days. Delhiites are going to get respite from the scorching heat. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of moderate rainfall in the mountains and plains of northwest India this weekend. There are chances of rain with strong winds on Saturday and Sunday. A yellow alert has also been issued for both the days.

Rain and storm alert issued in 9 districts of Bihar 

People in Bihar are going to get relief from the scorching heat. Based on the signals received from the Meteorological Center in Bihar late at night, thunder and light rain with a wind speed of 30-40 km per hour have given relief to the people from the heat in Madhubani, Supaul, Araria, Purnia, Kishanganj districts. For Friday, the Meteorological Department has predicted light rain with thunder at one or two places in nine cities of southern parts Bhabhua, Aurangabad, Rohtas, Gaya, Nawada, Jamui, Banka, Bhagalpur and Munger, and at some places thunderstorms and strong wind flow. A yellow alert has been issued regarding this.

There will be rain with thunder in these states 

Regarding Central India, the Meteorological Department said in its official statement that a cyclonic circulation is located over south-east Rajasthan. Under its influence, there is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall with thunder, lightning, and strong winds in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Marathwada, and Central Maharashtra from 10 to 13 April 2024. In such a situation, there may be some relief from the heat this week.

Snowfall is possible in Jammu Kashmir and Himachal

According to the Meteorological Department, between April 11 and 15, Telangana, Kerala, Interior Karnataka, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu may experience light to moderate rain and thundershowers, and strong winds (30-50 km). At the same time, heavy snowfall is possible in Jammu and Kashmir on 13 and 14 April and in Himachal Pradesh on 14 April.
