La Paz (Bolivia):  Bolivia's former president is deeply entangled in a case of sexual abuse of a minor. Prosecutors on Monday intensified their demand for the arrest of former president Evo Morales in the sexual abuse case. It is alleged that former president Morales sexually abused a 15-year-old girl, with whom he also has a child. A warrant for Morales' arrest has been issued after he disobeyed the order to record a statement in the case.

It is being told that this warrant is yet to be approved by a judge. Morales, until 2019, was in power in Bolivia for 13 years. His arrest on this serious charge of sexual abuse was first reported in September. Since then Morales has been hiding in the rural area of ​​Chapare. This area is surrounded by his staunch supporters.

8 years ago a teenager was sexually abused

Former Bolivian President Morales is accused of sexually assaulting a teenager in 2016 and has a child with her. Under Bolivian law, this is considered rape. Morales has not yet commented on the arrest order, but he had earlier denied his involvement in such misconduct. Morales had said, "This is a conspiracy to destroy me politically." According to prosecutors, the former president has committed a serious crime by sexually abusing a minor. The proof of this is a child born from that.
