It was very cold in Delhi on New Year's Day

According to the Meteorological Department, due to snowfall in the mountains, severe cold continues in North India including Delhi. The mercury may fall further in the coming days.
On the first day of the year, the cold winds in the heart increased the cold further. Although the sun also came out, but due to the cold wave, its special effect was not seen.
On New Year's Day on January 1, the minimum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 8.05 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature reached 17.98 degrees Celsius amid clear skies.
On Thursday (January 2), the minimum temperature in Delhi is expected to be 9 degrees. Apart from this, the maximum temperature can reach 18 degrees.
Meanwhile, to escape the harshness of winter, people of Delhi are resorting to bonfires. According to the Meteorological Department, the mercury may drop further in the coming days.
On the first day of the new year, Delhi's air remained in the poor category. At 8 am, the AQI was recorded at 239. Which is considered in the 'poor' category. It was slightly better than the previous days.
