India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted a clear sky and strong wind during the day in Delhi on Tuesday, April 23. According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum and minimum temperatures in the capital on Tuesday are expected to be around 38 and 22 degrees Celsius. India Meteorological Department said that there is no possibility of a heat wave in the national capital for the next seven days. The maximum temperature recorded in Delhi on Monday was 37.6 degrees Celsius.

Heatwave in eastern India for the next five days

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Monday that the heat wave will continue in large parts of eastern India for the next five days. There are heat wave conditions in parts of West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, and Bihar and this is for the second time this month. According to the Meteorological Department, heat wave conditions have prevailed in the areas along the banks of Ganga in Odisha since April 15 and in West Bengal since April 17.

Night temperature likely to be higher in Madhya Pradesh

High humidity may increase the problems of people in coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karnataka, Goa, Kerala, West Bengal and Bihar. The night temperature in East Madhya Pradesh is likely to be very high on April 22 and April 23. High temperature at night is considered dangerous, because the body does not get a chance to cool down.

When does a heat wave situation arise?

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of a heat wave of four to eight days in April in different parts of the country compared to the usual duration of one to three days. There is a possibility of a heat wave lasting 10 to 20 days in the entire April-June period compared to the usual four to eight days. Heatwave conditions occur when the maximum temperature reaches at least 40 degrees Celsius in the plains, 37 degrees in the coastal areas, and 30 degrees Celsius in the hilly areas and is at least 4.5 degrees Celsius above normal. A severe heat wave is declared when the maximum temperature is 6.4 degrees Celsius above normal.

More heat wave days are predicted in Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra, Vidarbha, Marathwada, Bihar and Jharkhand. Giving information, Kuldeep Srivastava, scientist and head of the Regional Meteorological Center in Delhi, has said that there is no possibility of a heat wave in the coming days, but in the next three to four days the temperature of Delhi will reach 40 degrees Celsius. Srivastava said that the sky will remain clear in Delhi in the coming week and there is no forecast of rain.
