In the third session of the trading week, the Indian stock market opened with a slight decline. Nifty, Sensex and Nifty Bank opened in red after weak signals from global markets. Nifty opened at 5,0006.70 with a decline of 50.60 points i.e. 0.20%. Sensex fell 222.54 points i.e. 0.27% to open at 81597.58. At the same time, Nifty Bank fell 118 points i.e. 0.23% to open at 51788. However, a recovery was also seen in Nifty Bank shortly after the market opened.
During the early trading, BPCL, Coal India, Hindalco Industries, SBI Life and Bajaj Finance topped the list of the fastest-growing stocks on Nifty. These stocks saw a rise of 0.54% to 1%.
At the same time, M&M, TCS, Apollo Hospitals, Infosys and UltraTech Cement topped the list of weak stocks on Nifty. These stocks witnessed a decline of 0.67% to 0.9%.
