Stock Market Closing: The Indian stock market was trading in a limited range throughout the day, but by the time the market closed, the Sensex and Nifty closed on the green mark. Nifty may have closed with a marginal gain of 10 points, but the Sensex registered a gain of 110 points. Sensex and Nifty were seen trading with fluctuations throughout the day and a decline was also seen in it, but as the closing approached, they managed to close on a rise.
At what level did the stock market close
BSE's Sensex today closed at 80,956.33 with a gain of 110.58 points or 0.14 percent. Apart from this, NSE's Nifty closed at 24,467.45 with a gain of 10.30 points. Today, Bank Nifty registered a good rise and it jumped 571.15 points or 1.08 percent to close at 53,266. This sector has supported the market.
Banking stocks shine
The stock market closed with gains for the fourth consecutive day and HDFC Bank continued its streak of making new peaks. Bank Nifty got support due to the surge in PSU banks and it closed today with a gain of 571 points.
Condition of Sensex shares
Out of 30 stocks of BSE Sensex, 14 stocks remained strong in which HDFC Bank closed at the top. NTPC, Bajaj Finserv, TCS, Titan and Tech Mahindra were also among the top gainers of Sensex. Among the falling stocks, Bharti Airtel closed at the bottom and shares of Tata Motors, Adani Ports, Power Grid, Maruti and Reliance Industries also saw a decline.
Market Capitalization of BSE
If we look at the market cap of BSE, it closed at Rs 455.63 lakh crore. 4070 shares were traded on BSE, out of which 2381 shares closed on a positive note. 1584 shares declined and 105 shares closed without any change. 448 shares hit an upper circuit while 148 shares hit a lower circuit.
