News of a heart-wrenching accident is coming from Uttarakhand. Here in Dehradun, on Mussoorie Road, an over-speeding luxury car has crushed 6 people walking on the roadside. Four of these people died on the spot. Apart from this, two other people are seriously injured. After this accident, the car has fled and the search is on. Other officials including the SSP have also reached the spot.

How did the accident happen?

Actually, this accident happened near Uttaranchal College. A Chandigarh registered Mercedes car driver, while driving the vehicle fast and dangerously, hit 4 workers walking on foot and a scooty, in which 4 workers walking on foot died. 2 people riding the scooty got injured in the accident and their treatment is going on. The bodies of the four deceased have been brought to the government hospital and the panchayatnama proceedings are being done. The injured were taken to Uttaranchal hospital for immediate treatment. From here, they were referred to Doon Government Hospital. Both the people injured in the accident have got leg injuries and are undergoing treatment.

The search for the car driver continues

The police is conducting intensive checking campaign by informing all the police stations through the control room to search for the person in the car. On enquiring about the deceased, it was found that the deceased lived in Kathbangla area across the river and worked under a contractor named Shivam. On receiving information about the incident, Inspector General of Police Garhwal region and Senior Superintendent of Police Dehradun inspected the spot and took information about the incident from the officers present.
