It is reported that the student was harassed by his classmates for not wearing the appropriate clothing. Police have recorded statements from the student's parents and have launched an investigation.
According to reports, Prashant's classmates repeatedly teased and ridiculed him for not wearing his uniform properly. On Tuesday, when he returned home from school, he found himself alone in the bathroom and hanged himself with his ID card. Later, when his family returned home, they found Prashant hanging in the bathroom. They immediately rushed him to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
The son has no quarrel with anyone – father
According to news agency IANS, Prashant's father, Shankar, said that his son was very active and had no conflicts with anyone. Shankar worked as a watchman in the same apartment and lived there. Previously, Shankar worked as a driver at the same school where his son studied.
Guilty students will be punished
The student's suicide has once again brought public attention to bullying in schools. Depending on the severity of the offense, students found guilty of bullying may face immediate suspension or transfer to another institution. They may also undergo mandatory psychological counseling and face legal penalties, depending on the age of the perpetrator and the nature of the harassment.
