Every year, Shardiya Navratri is celebrated from Pratipada Tithi to Navami Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Ashwin month. This year, Shardiya Navratri is from 03 October to 11 October. During this time, the goddess of the world, Maa Durga and her Shakti forms are being worshipped (Navratri Ashtami Puja Vidhi). Along with this, Navratri fast is being observed for them. Durga Ashtami auspicious time (Durga Ashtami Shubh Muhurat)

Ashtami Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Ashwin month will start on October 10 at 12:31 pm Indian time and will end on October 11 at 12:06 pm. After this, Navami Tithi will start. Puja and havan are performed on Navami Tithi. Dussehra will be celebrated the next day.

 

When is Ashtami? (Navratri Ashtami 2024 Date)

According to great pundits and religious experts, during Sharadiya Navratri, Maa Durga is worshipped during Nisha Kaal. Saptami Tithi of Sharadiya Navratri is dedicated to Maa Kali. Maa Kaalratri is worshipped on this Tithi. If Saptami-Ashtami fall on the same Tithi, then Ashtami Vrat is not observed on the Tithi dedicated to Maa Kaalratri. Ashtami Vrat is observed the next day. For this, Ashtami Vrat will be observed on 11 October (Ashtami 2024 Shubh Muhurat). At the same time, Navami Puja and Havan will also be performed on 11 October. Sadhaks can break the fast on 12 October.
