Shani Pradosh Vrat has great religious and spiritual significance in Sanatan Dharma. This day is dedicated to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Devotees keep fast on this auspicious day and pray to Shiva-Parvati. According to the Hindu calendar, this month Pradosh Vrat (Pradosh Vrat 2024) is being observed on 28 December i.e. today. Shani Pradosh Vrat Puja Time (Shani Pradosh Vrat 2024 Puja Muhurat)

According to the Hindu calendar, Amrit Kaal will be from 11:04 am to 12:47 pm. After this, Vijay Muhurta will be from 02:06 pm to 02:48 pm. Then the twilight time will be from 05:30 pm to 05:58 pm.

At the same time, Nishita Muhurta will be from 11:56 pm to 12:50 am. There is importance of performing puja in the evening on Pradosh day. Therefore, keep in mind the twilight muhurta.

Shani Pradosh Vrat Puja Vidhi and Muhurat

First of all, take a bath by mixing Gangajal in water. Then take a vow of fasting in front of Bholenath and Mata Parvati. Place the idol of Shiv family on an altar. Clean the idol thoroughly with Gangajal. Light a lamp of Desi Ghee and offer a garland of white flowers. Make Tripund on the forehead of Shiv Ji with sandalwood. Offer kheer, halwa, fruits, sweets, thandai, lassi etc.

Recite Pradosh Vrat Katha, Panchakshari Mantra and Shiv Chalisa. Puja on Pradosh Vrat is considered more auspicious during dusk. Therefore, worship during Pradosh Kaal only. Break your fast the next day. Break your fast with Shiv Prasad only.
