How to perform Rudrabhishek?

Rudrabhishek is one of the most sacred puja rituals which is considered special to be performed on Shravan Monday, so let's know its puja samagri and the rule of performing it, so that you can perform it at your home without a priest.

Curd, ghee, sugar powder, Gangajal, honey and holy water, cotton wick, Bel leaves, sandalwood paste, incense, whole rice grains, and flowers, sweets, white cloth, seasonal fruits, seat, etc.

• Pure water – First of all offer water on Shivling.
• Milk – Then offer milk.
• Curd – After this, offer curd on Shivling.
• Powdered Sugar - Offer the sugar mixture.
• Ghee – Offer some ghee on the Shivling.
• Honey – Offer honey.
• Water – Again clean the Shivling with pure water.
• Sandalwood paste - Apply yellow sandalwood or white sandalwood paste on the Shivlinga.
• Belpatra – Offer 1,3,5,7,9, 11, 21, 51 or 108 Bel leaves.
• Flower garland: Offer a garland of white flowers to Lord Shiva.
• Akshat – After this, offer Akshat.
• Lamp – Light a lamp of desi ghee.
• Incense - Burn incense to ward off negative energies.
• Chanting of Mantras: Chant the Panchakshari Mantras of Lord Shiva 108 times.
• Aarti – Finally end the puja with Aarti and ask for forgiveness for any mistakes made during the puja.
• Charity: Feed the poor and donate money as per your capacity.
