Ukraine has been embroiled in a war with Russia for the last two and a half years. It has suffered a lot due to the shortage of soldiers and Russia's modern weapons. In such a situation, the Ukrainian government decided to deploy 10 thousand 'robots' on the front.

These robots will actually be buggy-like vehicles, which will be deployed on the frontline by next year. Such vehicles are called Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGV). These will help Ukrainian soldiers in heavy firing and drone attacks from Russia.

Will be helpful in combat mission

These robotic vehicles will be used to deliver ammunition, carry out combat missions and transport injured soldiers to safe places. The process of their purchase has also started. However, no information has been revealed on what type of UGVs will be purchased.

Speaking to Reuters, Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation Mikhail Fedorov said: “We have purchased several thousand ground platforms (UGVs) and I think we need another 10,000.”

Already being used in Kursk

Since the beginning of the war between Ukraine and Russia, both countries started using modern technologies. But at present there is no possibility of the end of the war. Let us tell you that Ukraine is already using UGV in the Kursk region of Russia.

The use of these robotics platforms on the frontline has shown very good results. Ukraine has also set up training centers to teach its soldiers the better use of these robots.

Ukraine is currently facing a shortage of soldiers for about 5 years. This is the reason why the age of recruitment in the army has been reduced from 25 to 18. In such a situation, the use of robotics vehicles will benefit it a lot.
