“Depending on the situation and nature of security threats to Russia, we will continue these tests, including in combat situations,” Putin said in a televised meeting with military chiefs. Russia fired a new-generation missile at the Ukrainian city of Dnipro early on Thursday in a major escalation of weapons being deployed in the nearly three-year conflict.

The Kremlin chief has given the green signal to test a missile that flies at a speed of 10 Mach, 10 times the speed of sound, and called for mass production of similar missiles. He said Russia is developing similar advanced systems. We need to start mass production.

No other country has such missile technology

He said the weapon system tested yesterday is another reliable guarantee of Russia's territorial integrity and sovereignty. Putin claimed that no other country in the world has such missile technology. Although he acknowledged that other states will soon develop them, he said it will happen tomorrow, a year or two later. Ukraine said on Friday that the Russian missile used in the attack on Thursday had reached a maximum speed of 13,000 kilometers per hour. It took only 15 minutes to reach the target. It made public the assessment of this new weapon for the first time. Meanwhile, the deployment of new ballistic missiles by Russia has deepened the possibility of war escalation.

In view of this, the Ukrainian Parliament cancelled its session on Friday. The Ukrainian army said that 114 drones were attacked by Russia. Out of these, 64 were shot down. Whereas Russia said that Ukraine handed over 46 Russian citizens. These people were taken away by the Ukrainian army after capturing a part of Russia's Kursk region in August last year.

Hypersonic missile attack on Ukraine is a warning to the West: Russia

Russia said on Friday that the new hypersonic ballistic missile used in the attack on Ukraine was a warning to the West. Moscow will give them a befitting reply if they take any reckless action in support of Ukraine. A day earlier Ukraine claimed that Russia fired a long-range intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) on the Ukrainian city of Dnipro on Thursday.

Tested ballistic missile (MRBM)

After this, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that a new medium-range ballistic missile (MRBM) was tested in the attack on Ukraine. Dmitry Peskov, spokesman for the Russian Presidential Palace Kremlin, said, 'The main message is that Western countries will have to face Russia's response for supplying missiles to Ukraine and engaging in attacks on Russian territory. Russia has clearly demonstrated its capabilities.'
