Ranbir Kapoor may have started his career in Bollywood as a chocolatey actor, but with changing times he has played many different roles. While in 'Barfi' the actor played with his expressions, in Animal he became an anti-hero and did such action, which even the fans did not expect.
One of his favourite movies is Rockstar, which was released in 2011. In the movie, Ranbir Kapoor played the role of a musician who, after his love goes away, makes music his love and passion, but does many such things which land him in trouble. When his Rockstar was re-released last year, the audience not only gave a good amount of money at the box office, but at the same time, fans also requested the director to bring a sequel to this movie. Now Imtiaz Ali has listened to their request and has given a hint of the sequel of the movie.
Ranbir was signed for another film, not Rockstar
A few years ago, while talking to Mid Day, Imtiaz Ali had told that he had cast the 'Ramayan' actor not for 'Rockstar' but for some other film. However, during the conversation, a discussion started about his old script.
While talking to him, Ranbir Kapoor mentioned the script of 'Rockstar' and expressed his desire to play the role of a musician. The budget of this film of Imtiaz Ali was around 60 crores. The movie earned up to 108 crores at the box office. Nargis Fakhri was seen in the lead role and Aditi Rao Hydari in an important role along with Ranbir Kapoor in the film.
