Ramayana Story: People belonging to Sanatan Dharma recite Ramayana methodically during daily worship. It is a religious belief that by reciting it, a person receives the blessings of Lord Ram and there is happiness and peace in the house. By reciting Ramayana, one gets to know about important things related to Lord Shri Ram.

Ram Ji faced many problems during his life. Do you know why Kaikeyi, on the advice of Manthra, asked King Dasharath for 14 years of exile for Lord Ram (Kaikeyi Request for Exile). If you don't know, then let us tell you about this topic in detail.

According to Sanatan scriptures, King Dasharath was a warrior. Once King Dasharath was asked by the gods to fight a war against the demons. After this, King Dasharath fought a war against the demons. During the war, the demons injured King Dasharath. During this, Kaikeyi helped him, due to which King Dasharath was successful in the war and King Dasharath asked Kaikeyi to ask for 2 boons, but at that time Kaikeyi did not ask for any boon. She said that she will ask for the boon when the time comes.

According to Ramayana written by Valmiki, when Lord Shri Ram was chosen as the successor, Manthara came to know about this, after which Manthara told Kaikeyi in detail about the main reason for coronating Shri Ram ji.

Manthra felt that after Shri Ram ji became the king, her and her son's power would diminish. If the coronation was not stopped, the coming times would not be good. For this reason, on the advice of Manthra, Kaikeyi asked for two boons from King Dasharath, the first of which was to send Lord Shri Ram to exile for 14 years (Lord Ram's 14-Year Exile reason) and make Bharat the king.

This was the reason for taking exile

According to Sanatan scriptures, Lankapati Ravana was more powerful. Ram ji had to fight a war with Dashanan Ravana, but defeating Ravana was a very difficult task. That is why Lord Shri Ram chose fourteen years.
