After getting the furlough, Ram Rahim has come out of the jail. After coming out of the jail, he reached the headquarters of the Dera in Sirsa. After this, Ram Rahim appealed to the people not to come to the Dera.
29th April is the foundation day of Dera Sacha Sauda. In such a situation, many big programs are expected to take place here, in view of which Gurmeet Ram Rahim has reportedly decided to stay in Sirsa. Ram Rahim also congratulated the devotees on Dera Sacha Sauda Foundation Day.
Ram Rahim had come out of jail even before the Haryana elections
Ram Rahim was granted parole for 20 days on February 1 last year. That parole was also granted to him before the Haryana Assembly elections held on October 5. Incidentally, in the past few years, Ram Rahim has been granted parole and furlough during elections in Punjab, Haryana and neighbouring states.
In August last year, Ram Rahim was granted a 21-day furlough. He was granted a three-week furlough from February 7, 2022, barely two weeks before the Punjab assembly elections. In May last year, the Punjab and Haryana High Court acquitted Ram Rahim and four others in the 2002 murder of the sect's former manager Ranjit Singh, citing a "shocking" investigation.
Dera Sacha Sauda has a considerable number of followers
The special court of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had sentenced Ram Rahim to life imprisonment in the nearly 20-year-old murder case. He was found guilty of hatching a criminal conspiracy along with his co-accused. Dera Sacha Sauda has a significant number of followers in Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and other states. In Haryana, Dera has a large number of followers in many districts including Sirsa, Fatehabad, Kurukshetra, Kaithal and Hisar. Its headquarters is also in Sirsa.
