Radha Ashtami Vrat Katha
According to the legend, once Radha Rani went out of heaven. When Lord Krishna came to know about this, he started roaming with Viraja Sakhi. When Kishori ji came to heaven, she came to know about this and she got angry. After this, she insulted Viraja. After this, she took the form of river Viraja. Sudama ji did not like this behavior of Radha Rani. He started speaking ill about Radha ji.
Hearing Sudama's words, Kishori Ji became angry and cursed Kanha Ji's friend to be born as a demon. Sudama also cursed Radha Ji to be born as a human.
After this, due to Sudama's curse, Radha Rani had to face separation from Lord Krishna. According to some mythological stories, during the Dwapar era, Lord Vishnu, the savior of the world, incarnated as Kanha Ji, then his wife, the goddess of wealth, Maa Lakshmi incarnated on earth as Radha Rani.
