New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Russia from October 22-23 to attend the 16th BRICS summit. Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin has praised Indian films and has indicated the possibility of promoting the broadcast of Indian films in Russia.

Putin highlighted the deep cultural ties between Russia and India as well as promoting Indian cinema in Russia. Indian films are very popular in Russia. Will promote Indian film industry in our country- Putin

Putin advocated the inclusion of films from BRICS countries in the BRICS Film Festival and this year's Moscow International Film Festival. Putin also talked about further promotion of Indian films in Russia and expressed his willingness to discuss the matter with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that if the Indian film industry is interested, we will support their promotion in Russia.

He said this in response to Ukrainian President Zelensky's statement in which he said that Kiev had given up its Soviet-era nuclear weapons. It should join NATO. Putin said that Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has been invited to the BRICS summit. He also said that relations between Russia and China are unique.
