Priyanka is contesting against Navya Haridas of BJP

Priyanka Gandhi is contesting from Wayanad, so BJP has fielded Navya Haridas to contest against her. Satyan Mokeri is the candidate of the Left alliance LDF. Let us tell you that Rahul Gandhi was elected from Rae Bareli in Uttar Pradesh along with Wayanad in this Lok Sabha election. Later he decided to leave the Wayanad seat. Due to this, a by-election is being held here.

Who is Navya Haridas?

39-year-old Navya Haridas has been a councillor in the Kozhikode Municipal Corporation twice and is the leader of the BJP Parliamentary Party in the corporation. She is also the state general secretary of the BJP Mahila Morcha. She has a BTech degree in Mechanical Engineering from KMCT Engineering College, affiliated to Calicut University. She was the BJP candidate from Kozhikode South constituency in the 2021 Kerala Assembly elections, but lost to Congress candidate Ahmed Devarkovil. Navya Haridas is popular among the youth, so Priyanka Gandhi's path in Wayanad will not be easy at all. Rather, Haridas can prove to be a challenge for her.
