Ambedkar Nagar News: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday took a dig at Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav and said that power can be inherited, but not wisdom. Yogi said that those who considered power as their fiefdom are now conspiring to create anarchy to come back to power. He alleged that during the reign of the SP, goons and mafia used to run their 'parallel' government, but after the formation of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in 2017, the situation changed and strict action started being taken against criminals.
The Chief Minister targeted Akhilesh after inaugurating and laying the foundation stone of 6,778 development projects worth Rs 1,231 crore in Ambedkar Nagar and said, "To run a government, one needs passion, heart and brain. Power can be inherited, but not intelligence." He said, "Before 2017, the mafias nurtured by the SP and Congress ran parallel governments in Uttar Pradesh. At that time, the president of Hindu Jagran Manch and our prominent worker from Tanda was murdered in Ambedkar Nagar, but no hearing was held. Even then I had to come here to protest."
Yogi said, "Before 2017, the police used to run away and the goons used to chase them. But after 2017, the goons and mafia are running away and the police are chasing them. If any criminal dares to do anything, the government will go to any extent to respond to his audacity." Pointing to Akhilesh raising questions on the death of Mangesh Yadav, accused in the Rs 1.5 crore robbery case of a bullion trader in Sultanpur, in a police encounter, the Chief Minister said, "You tell me why does the SP feel bad if a dacoit is killed in an encounter with the police. You ask these people what should happen to the criminals?"
SP had an army of goons here- CM Yogi
He asked, "Was what a SP leader did to a daughter of Nishad caste in Ayodhya right? Our minister Dr. Sanjay Nishad cried after seeing the condition of that daughter in Ayodhya, but SP still wants that no action be taken against the accused." The Chief Minister accused the SP of protecting goons and said, "A daughter is everyone's daughter. It is the responsibility of the entire society to protect her, but how will the SP understand its importance? It had an army of goons. The bigger the goon and mafia, the bigger the position was given to him in the party."
UP has become mafia free- CM Yogi
He claimed that Uttar Pradesh has become mafia-free after 2017. Yogi accused the SP, Congress and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) of doing nothing but appeasement during their respective regimes. He said, "No event was allowed during the rule of these parties - neither Holi, nor Deepawali, nor Dussehra, nor Durga Puja, nor Nag Panchami, nor Krishna Janmashtami or Shivratri. You could not celebrate any festival peacefully."
Those who posed a threat to security have disappeared- CM Yogi
The Chief Minister claimed that after 2017, those who disrupted festivals and posed a threat to the safety of daughters and traders have disappeared. Yogi appealed to the voters to support the BJP in the proposed by-election on the Katehari assembly seat.
