He explained how poverty chastity and obedience as evangelical counsels remain important principles for our contemporary society.Evangelical poverty according to Pope Francis serves as a liberating mechanism to help religious people disconnect from possessions while allowing them to bless others through simple and generous behavior along with relational solidarity. According to him consecrated men and women express the goodness of things through love-filled relationships by discarding selfishness and greed and dependence or violence which leads to death while accepting simplicity and generosity and sharing and solidarity to highlight their beauty. The Pope explained that chastity functions as a mirror for divine love while promoting joyful and respectful mature relationships among all people without any forms of coercion. He highlighted the chaste love practiced by consecrated persons which demonstrates God's love stands above all other types of affectivity in our world today. Their lives demonstrate how to overcome selfish affective behavior which is interested in exploiting others for short-lived pleasure experiences according to the Pope.
Pope Francis
Pope Francis explained that obedience helps communities create mutual relationships based on trust while actively listening to each other and delivers a prophetic opposition to individualistic tendencies. The Pope said that obedience exercised through God's word emerges as a loving response while simultaneously displaying prophetic leadership to society. The Holy Father recommended religious bodies deliver ongoing spiritual and emotional development opportunities to their members.
The Pope declared his final message to consecrated individuals inviting them to draw fresh inspiration from the Eucharist so they could totally surrender to God's will. As he spoke he encouraged everyone to follow their Founders by repeating this prayer through self-sacrifice alongside supplication. O God I have arrived to perform your will.
