In Hinduism, the period of Panchak (Panchak April 2025) is not considered an auspicious time. During this time, many precautions have to be taken, so that the bad effects of Panchak can be avoided. Also, many types of auspicious and mangal works are prohibited during this period. But if you have any work to do during Panchak, then some measures can be taken. Let's know about this.
Panchak Timings (April 2025 Panchak Start Date)
According to the Panchang, the period of Panchak will start from 12:30 pm on Wednesday, 23 April and will last till 06:26 am on Saturday, 26 April 2025.
These tasks are not done (Panchak dos and don'ts)
During the Panchak period, one should not do any auspicious or Manglik activities like - Mundan (Shaving head ceremony), engagement, marriage, starting a business, building a house, buying a vehicle, buying gold and silver etc. Along with this, during this period, activities like money transactions, travelling towards south, making a cot or getting the roof of the house covered are also not done. It is said that by doing these activities during Panchak, a person may have to face bad consequences.
You can do these measures
If it is necessary for you to travel in the south direction during Panchak, then before starting the journey, go to any Hanuman temple and offer prayers and five types of fruits to Bajrangbali and then start the journey. If cremation has to be done during Panchak, then while cremating the body, five separate effigies should be made and burnt.
Along with this, if you have got a bed or cot made during Panchak, then use it only after the Panchak period is over. On the other hand, if you have to get the roof of the house installed during Panchak, then first feed sweets to the workers and then get the roof installed.
