A total of 52 accused have been arrested in Sambhal violence case so far. A 12 bore pistol and 5 cartridges were recovered from the accused. A 12 bore shell was also recovered. The accused had escaped after looting cartridges from the police.

He was planning to surrender but before that he was caught by the police. There are 7 criminal cases registered against Salim. Cases of attempt to murder, robbery, cow slaughter are also registered against him. Gangster Act has also been imposed on accused Salim. Not only this, accused Salim was also seen in the CCTV footage of Sambhal violence.

The accused was trying to surrender

Sambhal Kotwali in-charge Anuj Kumar Tomar said that a person named Salim, accused of shooting and injuring Police Circle Officer (CO) Anuj Chaudhary, has been arrested in Bhure Khan's Ziyarat area of ​​Sambhal Kotwali area and he is a notorious criminal of the area. He claimed that after the incident, Salim had gone into hiding in Seelampur, Delhi, he was planning to surrender in a court in Sambhal but he was caught before that.

Tomar said that Salim is also accused of looting cartridges from the police and the police have recovered a 12 bore pistol, five cartridges and an empty cartridge from him. Tomar said that so far 52 accused have been sent to jail in the Sambhal violence case. Violence broke out on November 24 last year during the survey of Jama Masjid located in Kot Garvi area of ​​Sambhal. During this, four people were killed and many people including a sub-district magistrate and several policemen were injured due to firing.
