Swami Ramdev on Aurangzeb Controversy: The ongoing controversy over Aurangzeb's tomb in Maharashtra is not coming to an end. Now Baba Ramdev has also given his reaction on this controversy. When Baba Ramdev, who arrived in Nagpur, Maharashtra on Saturday (8 March) to attend a program, was asked about this, he gave a different answer.

Yoga guru Baba Ramdev, while talking to the media on the controversy over Aurangzeb's tomb in Maharashtra, said, "India is the country of Lord Rama, Lord Krishna, Lord Shiva and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. We should take inspiration from the glory of our ancestors and contribute to the creation of a developed India. Along with this, the yoga guru further said that Aurangzeb was a cruel ruler, it is useless to discuss him. There is no point in preserving the signs of slavery of all the cruel terrorist rulers who have been in India. We should focus on the legacy of our great ancestors and build the India of their dreams.

Earlier, while addressing a program, CM Yogi had said that the heroes of India are Maharana Pratap and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the heroes of India cannot be infamous heroes like Akbar and Aurangzeb. The whole country respects the soil of Haldighati as a pilgrimage.

Let us tell you that recently Maharashtra's SP leader and MLA Abu Azmi had said that Aurangzeb had built many temples, wrong history is being shown. I do not consider Aurangzeb a cruel ruler. At that time the fight was of war and not of religion, it was not a fight between Hindus and Muslims. During Aurangzeb's time India was a golden bird, our borders were big, seeing that the British came to India.
