A big decision has been taken by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD), the trust of Tirupati Balaji temple. Non-Hindu employees will now be fired from Tirupati Balaji Trust. TTD has passed a resolution saying that non-Hindus working in the board should either take voluntary retirement (VRS), or opt for transfer to other government departments of Andhra Pradesh.
The board accepted the proposal
Board Chairman BR Naidu said on Tuesday that he has identified non-Hindu employees in TTD and will request them to either take VRS or get transferred to other government departments. TTD Chairman said that I presented the proposal to the board on Monday. The board has accepted it unanimously.
BJP welcomed the decision
BJP MP and Andhra Pradesh BJP president D Purandeswari welcomed the TTD board's proposal to remove non-Hindu employees from the temple, calling it a very good decision. She said that people who lack respect for Hinduism cannot really fulfill their responsibilities if they are given roles in temples. Union Minister G Kishan Reddy welcomed the TTD decision and said that non-Hindu employees should be posted in other places in Andhra Pradesh.
