According to the source, the trust is going to hold a meeting on Friday to hand over the responsibilities after the death of Ratan Tata. In which a decision can be taken on this. Meanwhile, the source said that Mehli Mistry can be made a permanent trustee in the board of Tata Trust.
 

 


The source said that Noel Tata, trustee of Sir Dorabji and Sir Ratan Tata Trust, may come into the leadership role in Tata Trust after the death of his brother Ratan Tata. Noel Tata became the chairman of Trent in 2014, after which in 2018 he became the vice chairman of Titan Company and in March 2022 he became the vice chairman of Tata Steel. To understand how important it is for Noel Tata to become the head of Tata Trust, we have to understand what Tata Trust and Tata Sons are and what is the status of their leadership in the Tata Group. Tata Sons is the principal holding company and promoter of Tata Group business. Tata Group is spread across many industries and the market value of the companies listed in the market is Rs 33 lakh crore. That is, the role of Tata Sons is most important for deciding the direction of Tata Group companies. At the same time, Tata Trust holds a 66 percent stake in Tata Sons. In such a situation, Tata Trust plays an important role in deciding the decisions of the entire group. At the same time, Sir Ratan Tata Trust and Sir Dorabji Tata Trust together hold a 51.5 percent stake in Tata Trust. Noel Tata is already the trustee of both these trusts. Ratan Tata, one of the great businessmen of the country, died late night on 9 October. He was 86 years old.
