Mahakumbh 2025 Prayagraj: This time more than 40 crore devotees are expected to come to the Maha Kumbh starting from January 13 in Prayagraj, in view of which the security arrangements have been tightened. VVIPs from the country and abroad are also going to come to this Maha Kumbh, along with this, in view of the threat of terrorist attack, the security of Kumbh has now been handed over to NSG commandos. 

200 NSG (National Security Guard) commandos are to be deployed in Maha Kumbh. 100 NSG commandos have taken charge. Four teams will be deployed. Each team consists of 50 commandos. Currently two teams have reached Maha Kumbh. These teams reached the Kumbh area on Monday via helicopter with ultra-modern weapons. The remaining two teams will also be deployed in Prayagraj soon for the security of Maha Kumbh.  

Security of Maha Kumbh handed over to NSG.
Along with NSG commandos, 30 sports teams have been deployed to identify suspects in Maha Kumbh. They will keep a strict eye on every person coming and going. 18 of these teams have been activated already. Rest of the teams will also be deployed soon. These teams have been called from Maharashtra, Jammu & Kashmir and many other states. This time the UP government has put in all its efforts to make Maha Kumbh historic. As such, the administration is completely alert regarding security also. 

Apart from NSG commandos, 15 thousand UP police personnel have been deployed in Maha Kumbh, who have come from 70 districts of UP. Special arrangements have also been made for the health of security personnel in the fair area. Police personnel are working in eight-hour shifts. There are three shifts in a day. This time the Maha Kumbh area is also almost double compared to before. In view of this, the number of police stations, outposts, fire stations and parking arrangements in the Maha Kumbh area have also been increased more than before.
