Two new stocks will be included in Nifty 50 from tomorrow i.e. 27th September. At the same time, two existing stocks will be out of this index. The Index Maintenance Sub-Committee (Equity) of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) had already given information about the changes in Nifty. Under this change, Bharat Electronics and Trent will be included in Nifty from tomorrow. At the same time, Divi's Laboratories and LTIMindtree will be out of this index.

Every 6 months, this committee reviews the possible changes in the index. Only those stocks which are available for trading in futures & options on NSE are eligible to be included in the Nifty index.

How are the stocks included in Nifty decided?
The average free-float market capitalization of Trent is ₹99,364 crore and the average free-float market capitalization of BEL is ₹89,317 crore. The 6-month average free-float market capitalization of these two stocks is higher than the 6-month average free-float market capitalization of the smallest stock included in Nifty. The free-float market capitalization of LTIMindtree is ₹47,022 crore and the average free-float market capitalization of Divi's Laboratories is ₹51,261 crore. How much inflow is expected? After the inclusion of Trent in Nifty, an inflow of $702 million is expected in the stock. Similarly, there is a possibility of an inflow of $430 million in BEL. Trent is estimated to have 1.4% weightage in Nifty and BEL 0.9% weightage. This estimate is of Nuvama Institutional Equities. Under this change, there are also changes in the weightage of Cipla and HDFC Life. The weightage of these two stocks is going to increase in Nifty. At the same time, the weightage of M&M, Infosys, ICICI Bank, Reliance Industries, Adani Enterprises, HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel, HUL, Kotak Mahindra Bank and Axis Bank will decrease. Apart from this, Canara Bank is also going to be included in Nifty Bank. This bank will be included in the index in place of Bandhan Bank. The weightage of SBI, Federal Bank, Bank of Baroda, AU Bank is expected to increase in Nifty Bank. However, the weightage of Kotak Mahindra Bank and HDFC Bank is expected to decrease. There will be changes in these indexes as well. After being out of the Nifty 50 index, Divi's Labs and LTIMindtree will be included in the Nifty Next 50 index. Apart from this, JSW Eneryg, Lodha, BHEL, NHPC and Union Bank will also be included in this index. Trent and BEL will be out of the Nifty Junior Index. Apart from these, Colgate-Palmolive, Marico, SRF, SBI Card and Berger Paints will be out of the index.
