Landslide alert issued in Uttarakhand
An alert of heavy rain has been issued from the mountains to the plains. The Meteorological Department has predicted rain in Delhi, UP, Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. Along with this, the IMD has also issued an alert of landslides in the hilly areas of Himachal and Uttarakhand.
Earlier on Thursday, the Meteorological Department had said that there is a possibility of thunderstorms, lightning and light to moderate rains in North-West India including Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Rajasthan during the next five days.
Weather will change in UP today
The weather is expected to change in Uttar Pradesh from Friday. However, heavy rains have occurred in many districts on Thursday. At the same time, the rainy season will start again in 35 districts. Meteorologist Atul Kumar Singh said that after two days, rain will start around Lucknow and in eastern Uttar Pradesh. Monsoon will gain strength again from next week and heavy rains will occur in most parts. For now, heat and humidity will bother for two days. He said, a warning of thunderstorms along with lightning has also been issued in many areas including the capital.
Cloudy weather will continue in Delhi on Friday as well
According to the weather department, Delhi is likely to remain cloudy and have light rain on Friday as well. The weather department has forecast that the movement of clouds will continue on Friday as well. There are also chances of formation of thunderstorms and light rain. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be 37 and 29 degrees Celsius respectively. The weather department has forecast that such weather is likely to remain every day till July 24. A yellow alert has been issued for July 21 and 22 while a green alert has been issued for the other days.
