On Tuesday evening, a dispute broke out between two parties over the demand to free the land adjacent to Mahadevan temple from encroachment under Khatkhari Chowki area of ​​Mauganj district of Madhya Pradesh. Due to the dispute, an incident of arson was also carried out in the area.

 

After the arson, the two parties pelted stones at each other. Four people are reported to have been injured in this incident. After this incident, keeping safety in mind, Mauganj Collector Ajay Srivastava imposed Section 163 (earlier 144) in the area. BJP MLA from Mauganj Pradeep Patel, who arrived to remove encroachment with a JCB machine, was detained and sent to Rewa.

 

MLA arrived to break the wall with JCB

Many officials including the Collector and SP reached the spot. Meanwhile, Vajra vehicle and force have been called from Rewa and deployed at the spot. It is being told that Hindu leader Santosh Tiwari was on hunger strike for three days. On Tuesday evening, Mauganj MLA Pradeep Patel also reached to join this protest. The most important thing is that he along with his supporters tried to break the wall with the help of JCB. The crowd became furious in the presence of the MLA. When an attempt was made to break the wall with the help of JCB, a clash broke out between the encroachers. Both sides pelted stones heavily.

 

Let us inform you that the MLA and his supporters were already pressurizing the district administration to free the temple land from encroachment. The court had given a stay in July. SP Rasna Thakur said that a case has been registered against both the parties. The MLA said that even after three months, the encroachment has not been removed.

Regarding this incident, Mauganj Collector Ajay Srivastava said that it is a case of encroachment of temple land. The MLA and his supporters had reached the spot regarding this. Three people have been injured in the clash, while the fourth person has been slightly injured. At present, the situation in the area is under control and prohibitory orders have been imposed.
