Let us tell you that this incident happened around 10.15 pm on Wednesday night, when the boiler of the plant allegedly malfunctioned, which led to an explosion. The explosion was so severe that it broke the windows of houses far away and damaged the buildings of the area.

Surat Police Commissioner Anupam Singh Gehlot has given a statement in this case. He said that the incident took place at ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India). He said, "We have come to know that the fire spread due to the sudden spread of burning coal in a part of the plant. As a result, four workers died in the fire, who were on the lift in the plant at that time." The officer said that further investigation of the incident will also be done by the police and the factory inspector. However, no accidental death report has been registered yet. Out of the four people who lost their lives, the bodies of three victims have been brought to the civil hospital for post-mortem.
