Mangal Prabhat Lodha News: The meeting of the Mumbai Suburban District Planning Committee was held on Monday (27 January). On this occasion, Maharashtra Cabinet Minister and Joint Guardian Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha gave some important suggestions with the aim of improving the security of the Mumbai Suburban District and the quality of life of the people here. Along with this, he also said that the suburbs of Mumbai will not be allowed to become 'mini-Bangladesh'.
He said, "For the safety of our citizens, it is very important to stop illegal infiltration of Bangladeshis and Rohingyas through various routes, keeping in mind the attractiveness of Mumbai." Lodha directed that appropriate action should be taken immediately and the committee should be reconstituted as soon as possible. He also ordered appropriate action against large-scale illegal infiltration in the buildings of the Slum Rehabilitation Board.
Important suggestions from Mangal Prabhat Lodha
- Take action to stop the illegal influx of Bangladeshis and Rohingyas and immediately reconstitute the committee in this regard.
- Take appropriate action against illegal encroachment in Slum Rehabilitation Board buildings.
- All the members of the Legislative Assembly should take initiative to open maximum number of 'Setu Offices' in their constituencies for the convenience of the people.
- A proposal of Rs 89.88 crore for upgrading government industrial institutions in the district.
On the occasion of Republic Day on January 26, 2025, Mangal Prabhat Lodha inaugurated the Setu Suvidha Maha e-Seva Kendra in Malbar Hill. This center will be a place for all facilities, where citizens will be able to do all types of registration and registration processes easily. Similarly, Lodha directed all the assembly members of the district to open as many Setu offices as possible in their constituencies for the convenience of the people.
A total of 6 Government Industrial Training Institutes (Mulund, Borivali, Andheri, Kurla, Chandivali, Govandi) are functioning in the district. An additional demand of Rs 89.88 crore has been made for the development of these institutes.
