Aligarh News: In Aligarh, the miscreants created a ruckus over placing the statue of Bhimrao Ambedkar on the land of the village society. During this, after a scuffle, the miscreants also pelted stones at the police. In which two policemen were seriously injured, seeing the situation becoming critical, police force from nearby police stations was called on the spot. 

The rioters challenged the police and set two scooters on fire. After a lot of hard work by the police, the rioters were chased away and the statue was removed from the disputed site. So far, the whole matter has come to the fore as a battle for supremacy between two Pradhans. In connection with which, both the former and the current Pradhan have been taken into custody by the police.

Actually the entire matter is of village Bhimpur in Roravar police station area of ​​Aligarh, where the Baghel community was erecting a boundary to build a temple on the village community's land. On the other hand, the Dalit community erected a statue of Baba Saheb Ambedkar overnight on the same village community's land. Regarding which, a delegation from the Dalit community met the District Magistrate Aligarh and SSP Aligarh. Where the SSP Aligarh asked the Dalit community not to place the statue and solve the matter through talks.

Along with this, the District Magistrate had also asked the Dalit community and Baghel community to stay away from the land of the village community, but when an attempt was made to place the statue at the disputed site overnight, the police asked to remove it, on which the wall erected by the Baghel community was removed but the Dalit community did not remove the statue from the spot and started arguing with the police. So far two policemen have been injured in the whole case, while both the Pradhans have been taken into custody by the police. To maintain peace and order at the spot, the police has converted the disputed site into a cantonment.

What does SSP Aligarh say?
SSP Sanjeev Suman while giving information on the whole matter said that a matter was going on in village Bhimpur of police station Rorawar since January 26, 2025, the villagers installed a statue of Ambedkar ji overnight on the land of the village council, before that the work was stopped by the police station. After that in two-three days those people installed a statue at night.

Since then the administration and police were continuously talking, the force has been present on the spot since then. Talks were held at different levels. On January 28, 2025, a delegation of theirs went to talk to the DM and SSP, in which under the rules, no construction can be done on the land of any Gram Sabha, and the statue cannot be installed either. 

Police who went to remove the statue were pelted with stones.
When talks were held with the other side, they told that a temple is being built by the other Baghel side, in place of the temple, they were building a boundary, the boundary of the temple will not be allowed to be built immediately and the statue will also not be allowed to be installed. Both sides agreed after talking to the DM and SSP today. This was going on for almost two days, when the police went to remove the statue in the evening, then stones were pelted by the women and people present there.

Three-four scooters have been set on fire, due to which two policemen have been injured. They have been sent for treatment. The statue has been removed now. Adequate force is present on the spot. The situation is under complete control. There was chaos for only 15 minutes. In this, the Pradhan and the former Pradhan were taken into custody by the police. This is usually an incident influenced by village politics. It is inspired by the upcoming elections, so we have taken the Gram Pradhan into custody.
