Akshay's head collided with the ship

In a conversation with E Times, Akshay told that he had almost escaped being eaten by a shark. This incident happened during the shooting of the movie Blue, released in 2009. Akshay Kumar said, 'I was shooting without an oxygen tank. So I was not able to control my body movement properly under water. My head hit a sunken ship and I fell 150 feet down under water.'

Akshay further said, ‘I was injured and was bleeding. As soon as my blood started spreading in the water, 40 to 50 sharks started moving towards me. Two of them even pounced on me. However, Akshay showed patience and swam out in time.’

Hollywood's famous underwater cinematography specialist Pete Zuccarini and James Bomlick were also part of the team during the shooting of 'Blue'.
