Why did Draupadi marry the 5 Pandavas?
Everyone knows that Draupadi had five husbands in the form of Pandavas. Also, there is not one but many mythological stories behind this, which we will mention to you today. It is said that when Arjun returned after the swayamvar with Draupadi, he took Draupadi to meet his mother Kunti. At that time mother Kunti was doing some work. Then Parth said to his mother 'Mother, I have brought something', on which Kunti, without looking and listening to the whole thing, unknowingly said that all five brothers should divide it among themselves and when she turned around, she saw Draupadi and was shocked.
She apologised for what she had said unknowingly, but then Arjuna said that it was his duty to obey his mother and so he would do so, which led to Draupadi marrying all five Pandavas.
Boon from Lord Shiva
Apart from this, there is another popular story behind it, in which Draupadi had asked for a boon from Lord Shiva that she wanted a husband who was intelligent, strong, handsome, attractive and an archer. It was impossible to get all these things in one person, due to which Bholenath gave her 5 Pandavas as her husband.
