Siddharthanagar News Today: The grand, divine and new Maha Kumbh will begin in Prayagraj from January 13. In view of the Maha Kumbh, security arrangements have been tightened in the entire state. In view of this, vigilance has also been increased on the India Nepal border of Siddharthanagar district.

Basti Range DIG Vinod Kumar P reached Siddharthnagar to take stock of the security arrangements in border areas and border check posts. During this, Police Captain Abhishek Mahajan along with DIG Vinod Kumar P went to Aligarhwa border and met SSB jawans and local people and came face to face with their problems.

On this occasion, the DIG and the Police Captain also participated in the meeting of the Village Security Committee organized under Operation Kavach. Talking to the media, DIG Vinod Kumar P said that he has visited here today to make the security system more vigilant in the border areas as well as to establish better relations with the local people.

'Border security agencies alert'
DIG Vinod Kumar P said that today he met the members of the village security committee and the chowkidars under Operation Kavach. He said that all the agencies deployed on the India Nepal border are fully alert. All the people coming and going from the border are being kept under strict surveillance and necessary guidelines have also been given in view of Kumbh.

Let us tell you, on the instructions of DGP Uttar Pradesh, security has been increased on the India Nepal border. SSB jawans deployed on the border are keeping a close watch on the people coming and going. Along with checking the Aadhar card and ID of the people passing through here, their belongings are being thoroughly searched, after which they are being allowed to come and go.

Siddharthnagar district is sensitive from the security point of view. The
68 kilometer open border touches Nepal and this area is always very challenging for the security agencies. Recently, two Chinese citizens and one Iranian citizen were caught while entering illegally from here.

Apart from this, Seema Haider, who made headlines in India, also entered India from Khunuwan border of Siddharthnagar district. In such a situation, the border of Siddharthnagar district is considered very sensitive. SSB jawans can be seen performing their duty here with great diligence.
