Lucknow News: Lucknow residents will now enjoy a double-decker bus. After Chhath, a double-decker bus is being introduced in Lucknow. This double-decker bus has reached Lucknow from Mumbai. Its operation in Lucknow will begin from November 9. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath can flag off this bus from UP Darshan Park in Gomti Nagar and start it. In this regard, the Directorate of Urban Transport has also sought a short time, while route clearance has been received from the Municipal Corporation, PWD and LESA for the operation of this bus.
According to the decided route, the bus will go from Lucknow's Kamta Tiraha to Amausi Mod via Shaheed Path. The trial run on this route has been completed and by the end of November, the trial run on the other route will also be completed. The other route on which this bus will run after this is from Dubagga to Kamta via IIM, Teedi Pulia, Munshi Pulia, Ring Road and it is planned to operate till Polytechnic Square.
How much will be the fare?
Currently, the minimum fare of this bus is being considered to be ₹20 and the maximum fare is ₹80. The charging point of this bus has been made at Viraj Khand bus stop. Passengers will board this bus from the rear gate and get off from the front gate. After reaching the first floor, one can reach the second floor by climbing eight stairs inside.
Let us tell you that the width of this double decker e bus is about 9 feet, length 35 feet and height 25 feet. Due to this, there may be problems in taking a U-turn at many places. Due to this, it is currently prohibited to take it on narrow roads. Permission to take this bus has not been given even on the roads where construction work is going on. On the route on which this bus is to operate, branches and twigs have been trimmed at more than 80 places to clear the route from Kamta to Amausi.
