SP and Apna Dal Kamerawadi alliance break: INDIA alliance in UP is getting setbacks one after the other. Now Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has made it clear that he no longer has any alliance left with Apna Dal Kamerawadi. He confirmed this while holding a press conference on Thursday. Akhilesh said that they were together in 2022, but not in 2024.
Since the time of the Rajya Sabha elections, everything has not going well between Akhilesh Yadav and Pallavi Patel, leader of Apna Dal Kamerawadi. Just a day ago, Apna Dal (Kamerawadi) was claiming itself to be an ally of the Indian alliance. Besides, on Wednesday it had also announced candidates for three seats in Uttar Pradesh for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. But last evening itself, SP also fielded its candidate from Mirzapur.
Pallavi Patel had fielded candidates staking a claim on Mirzapur, Phulpur, and Kaushambi Lok Sabha seats, but after SP fielded candidates from the Mirzapur seat itself, there were speculations that the alliance between the two is now over.
What will be the reasons for resentment?
Patel was angry with the ticket distribution of Akhilesh Yadav in the Rajya Sabha elections. In the name of PDA, he voted only for one SP candidate, Ramji Lal Suman. At that time he had also attacked Akhilesh Yadav. At the same time, while giving 17 out of 80 seats to Congress in UP, SP has decided to contest the others on its own. In such a situation, with the announcement of three seats, SP and Apna Dal were surprised by Kamerawadi's decision.
