On Sunday, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Sunday said that the next government at the Center cannot be formed without the support of the Aam Aadmi Party. He claimed that out of the 190 seats on which voting took place in the first two phases of the Lok Sabha elections, the opposition alliance 'INDIA' will win 120-125 seats. Mann expressed confidence that the opposition alliance will take power at the Center after the elections. Mann also announced that on April 30, he would meet Chief Arvind Kejriwal at Tihar Jail. Arvind Kejriwal is lodged in Tihar jail in a money laundering case related to excise policy.
The Punjab Chief Minister said, "AAP will be a partner in the (next) government. The next government cannot be formed without AAP's support." The Kejriwal-led party is a component of the opposition Alliance 'INDIA'. However, she is contesting the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 independently in Punjab .
Sangrur is and will remain AAP's stronghold: Bhagwant Mann
Addressing a gathering in Barnala in support of AAP's Sangrur candidate Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer, Mann said the constituency is and will always be AAP's stronghold.
He claimed that AAP chief Kejriwal cares a lot about Sangrur and always asks about it.
Mann said, “Last time when I went to meet him (Kejriwal) in jail, he first asked about Sangrur. I told him that next time I come to meet him, I will tell him the ground reality. Seeing the enthusiasm of the people here today. It has become clear that we are winning in Sangrur by a huge margin.”
Congress also targeted
Attacking his rival parties, Mann said that Shiromani Akali Dal, BJP, and Congress are not able to get candidates for the 13 Lok Sabha seats of Punjab.
"Their leaders are refusing to contest elections because they know defeat is certain. Their plight is the result of their misdeeds," he said.
Listing the achievements of his two-year-old government, Mann said, “We have made electricity free for 90 percent of households. We have already closed 14 toll plazas, which has provided financial relief to the people. The previous government had closed the toll plazas by taking money. ”

He also claimed that the state government has made arrangements for 11 hours of uninterrupted electricity every day for the farmers.
The Chief Minister said, “To save electricity and groundwater, we also supplied canal water to about 60 percent area of Punjab. By October, this figure will increase to 70 percent.”
Mann also took out a road show in Ludhiana on Sunday evening in favor of party candidate Ashok Parashar Pappi.
Ludhiana is the heart of Punjab
During his address, he said that Ludhiana is the heart of Punjab, and winning from here means winning the heart of Punjab.
Describing Ludhiana as his birthplace, the Chief Minister said that he started his career as a comedian from here in 1991.
