
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un oversaw the test of a suicide drone equipped with artificial intelligence (AI) technology, saying unmanned control and AI capabilities should be top priorities in the development of modern weapons. He also inspected new advanced reconnaissance drones capable of hitting a variety of tactical targets and detecting enemy movements on land and at sea.
Kim said the field of unmanned aerial vehicles and AI should be given priority in the modernization of the armed forces. North Korea also officially unveiled an early warning aircraft for the first time. It is a capability that can improve its outdated air defense systems.
Photos came while looking at the drone
Photos released by North Korea's official Korean Central News Agency showed Kim looking at a large reconnaissance drone.
It looked like Boeing's E-7 Wedgetail airborne warning and control aircraft. Other photos showed attacking drones exploding military vehicles used as targets.

The test also demonstrated the reconnaissance drone's ability to track multiple targets and monitor military activities on land and sea. This will increase North Korea's intelligence gathering capabilities. The report said that the new explosive drones have been designed for various missions.
