Kedarnath Yatra 2024: The Gaurikund-Kedarnath walking route, which was disrupted due to continuous heavy rainfall and natural disasters in Uttarakhand for a month, has now been reopened. The Public Works Department (PWD) has constructed a net of rods and safety posts by drilling deep holes in the rocks in the affected areas to make the route safe. Apart from this, security personnel have been deployed by the administration so that the journey remains smooth and safe.
After the resumption of the pilgrimage on Sunday, a huge crowd of devotees was seen in Kedarnath Dham. On this day, 7102 devotees visited Baba Kedarnath, which is the highest number in a month. It is worth mentioning that since the opening of the doors of Kedarnath this year, more than 11 lakh 60 thousand devotees have visited Baba. Kedarnath Yatra is once again gaining momentum and the enthusiasm of the devotees is full of religious faith.
Administration alert for the safety of the pilgrims
The administration has made special preparations keeping in mind the safety and ease during the yatra. Sonprayag Sector Magistrate Rakesh Singh gave the information. He said that after the reopening of the yatra route on Sunday, a total of 18,388 pilgrims left for Kedarnath. Out of these, 4626 pilgrims returned to Sonprayag after the yatra. While the rest of the pilgrims stayed at Kedarnath Dham and offered prayers.
The increasing crowd of devotees is continuously increasing.
Due to heavy rainfall last month, the incidents of landslides and falling of stones on the footpath had temporarily disrupted the Yatra. Due to which the administration had closed the route in view of the safety of the pilgrims. Now after reopening the route, the Yatra has been declared completely safe. At the same time, the crowd of devotees is continuously increasing. The religious importance of Kedarnath Yatra is very high in Indian culture and lakhs of devotees participate in this Yatra throughout the year.
