News Topical, Digital Desk : Chief Justices of five high courts were appointed on Monday, nearly two months after the Supreme Court Collegium recommended the names.

Apart from this, the Chief Justices of Rajasthan, Tripura, Jharkhand and Madras High Courts were also transferred. According to separate notifications of the Law Ministry, Justice Sanjeev Sachdeva has been appointed Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh High Court. He was the acting Chief Justice of that court till now.

 

Karnataka High Court gets Chief Justice

Justice Vibhu Bakhru of Delhi High Court has been appointed as the Chief Justice of Karnataka High Court. Justice Ashutosh Kumar, the acting Chief Justice of Patna High Court is now the Chief Justice of Guwahati High Court. Similarly, Justice Vipul Manubhai Pancholi of Patna High Court has been appointed as the Chief Justice of the same court.

 

Himachal HC judge appointed as Chief Justice of Jharkhand

Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan of the Himachal Pradesh High Court is now the Chief Justice of the Jharkhand High Court. The Supreme Court Collegium recommended their names on May 26. Apart from this, among the Chief Justices who have been transferred, Justice Manindra Mohan Shrivastava has been transferred from Rajasthan to Madras High Court.

 

Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh has been sent from Tripura to Telangana High Court. Justice MR Ramachandra Rao has been transferred from Jharkhand to Tripura High Court. While Justice KR Sriram has been transferred from Madras to Rajasthan High Court.
