News Topical, Digital Desk : Taapsee Pannu is one of cinema's most outspoken beauties. She is one of the few actresses known for her strong female-led roles in films.
Taapsee Pannu, who is currently making headlines for her recent release " Assi, " opened up about Bollywood in a recent interview. She explained how the casting process works, especially when the leads are bigger stars than the directors.
Did the hero get Taapsee thrown out of the film?
When Taapsee Pannu was asked if she has ever been thrown out of a film for her outspokenness, the "Assi" actress said in an interview with Hindustan Times:
To be honest, I don't know anything about it directly. Maybe it's found out, but it never comes to you. Someone says, "No, I don't want to work with them," but you don't know why. What I do know is that sometimes the hero doesn't want you in the film.
The decision of casting the heroine is in the hands of the hero.
Taapsee Pannu exposed the industry's flaws, stating that the hero decides who will be the heroine in his film. She further added:
I think everyone knows that most of the time, the hero decides who the heroine is in his film, unless it's a big director, because some directors are stars.
I got 'Dunky' because of Rajkumar
Citing the example of Shah Rukh Khan's film 'Dunky', Taapsee Pannu said-
When Raju Sir (Rajkumar Hirani) wanted me in the film, I was in it. It probably came as a big shock to everyone because I'm not in the typical circuit of films like that or Shah Rukh Sir's regular onscreen pairing. But it was because the director was absolutely sure he wanted to cast me.
Taapsee Pannu is currently in the news for her latest release, the crime thriller "Assi." The film has been well-received by critics and audiences.
