News Topical, Digital Desk : Deepesh Pandey, Mumbai. Actor Sourabh Raj Jain made his name in every household by playing the role of Lord Krishna in the serial "Mahabharat" (2013-14). Now, he is active in four mediums: television, films, digital platforms, theatre, and radio.
There are both advantages and disadvantages to having an actor's role become too popular. The downside is that they are often stereotyped.
How did the success of Mahabharata affect Saurabh?
Saurabh, who plays Aditya in the recently released web series Sangmarmar on Jio Hotstar, says about playing 'Shri Krishna', " I never saw it as a hindrance for me. That's probably because I received so much love from people after that that I can't even describe it. It's not that I didn't do any other work after that. "
Even after Mahabharata, I got the opportunity to play different roles.
Saurabh Raaj Jain further added, "I've been working continuously and have played many different roles. I'm also doing theatre now and got a chance to work in this web series. So, I never felt its popularity as a hindrance. I consider it my good fortune that I got that role and I'm still receiving love."
Apart from acting, the actor also appeared in radio shows.
On balancing his involvement in cinema, digital platforms, theatre, and hosting radio shows, Saurabh says, "As a performer, I perform everywhere, no matter what the platform is. Yes, in radio, you have to focus completely on your voice. The rest, whether it's on stage or in front of the camera, it's all the same to me."
Saurabh spoke on the displeasure of other artists
Many actors trying to break into other television mediums often complain about the difficulties they face in finding work in other mediums. Saurabh says, " I'll just say that we can't change anyone else's ideology. We can only work on ourselves and change ourselves."

Saurabh also visited the Taj Mahal in Agra for the marble shooting. He recounts his experience with a smile, "The moment I heard the name of the Taj Mahal, I remembered the hot parathas of Agra. We went there for shooting in January last year, when it was very cold and foggy. We used to go there for shooting early in the morning. There was a dhaba near the Taj Mahal. The parathas there are very famous, our car used to stop directly there. While the setup was being done, we would be eating parathas."
