News Topical, Digital Desk : The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence on Monday arrested a woman passenger at the Mumbai International Airport for allegedly carrying over six kg of cocaine in 300 capsules, estimated to cost Rs 62.6 crore.

The woman had reached Mumbai from Doha

The capsules were packed in six boxes of Oreo biscuits and three boxes of chocolates. The Indian national woman was stopped by DRI officials on the basis of specific information when she landed at Mumbai airport from Doha. Two boxes were found on checking her luggage.

He said a total of 6.261 kg of cocaine was recovered, which has an estimated value of Rs 62.6 crore in the illegal market. It was seized under the provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
