Dhaka: There is tremendous chaos in Bangladesh after the removal of PM Sheikh Hasina from power on August 5. The crown of Kali Mata has been stolen from the Jeshoreshwari temple in Shyamnagar, Satkhira. This crown was gifted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit in March 2021. PM Modi also shared a video of his visit to the temple, which was his first visit to any country after the Corona epidemic.
The crown was found missing from the head of Kali Mata
According to The Daily Star report, the theft took place on Thursday between 2.00 pm and 2.30 pm, when temple priest Dilip Mukherjee left for home after the day's prayers. Later, cleaning staff found that the crown was missing from Kali Mata's head.

Shyamnagar police station inspector Taijul Islam said that we are checking the CCTV footage of the temple to identify the thief. The crown made of silver and gold plating is very important from cultural and religious point of view. According to Hindu mythology, Jeshoreshwari temple is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas.
