 Continuing its campaign against terrorism in Kashmir, security forces on Saturday killed four terrorists in an encounter, while two soldiers were martyred, one is Para Commando Pradeep Nain and the other is Havildar Rajkumar. Hizbul Mujahideen's self-proclaimed divisional commander Farooq Ahmed Butt alias Nalli is trapped in the encounter in Kulgam's Chinigam.

Four terrorists confirmed killed

 

It is suspected that the terrorists were plotting to target the Shri Amarnath Yatra. Meanwhile, in another encounter going on in Mudrigam in Kulgam, a soldier has been martyred. According to the security forces, both the encounters are still going on. Inspector General of Police (IG) VK Virdhi has confirmed the killing of four terrorists.

The first encounter started at around 12 noon in the Mudrigam area of ​​Kulgam. At that time the security forces were conducting a search operation in the area based on information about the presence of terrorists. Then the terrorists threw a grenade to break the siege and started firing. Two soldiers were injured in this.

The security forces retaliated and engaged the terrorists in an encounter and immediately rushed the injured to the hospital. Meanwhile, one soldier was martyred, while the condition of the other remains critical. At the same time, an operation was underway to kill two to three terrorists trapped in the siege.

The martyr was identified as Para Commando Pradeep Nain

 

The martyr was identified as Lance Naik Para Commando Pradeep Nain. The second encounter started at around 2 pm in the afternoon in the Chinigam area of ​​Kulgam. The security forces had received information that Hizbul Mujahideen's divisional commander Farooq Ahmed Butt alias Nalli was hatching some conspiracy with some of his comrades.

The security forces immediately cordoned off the area and closed all the routes. After this, the soldiers started searching the area. The terrorists hiding in a house near the garden started firing.

The soldiers started retaliatory action and evacuated people from several nearby houses to a safe place. According to the police, by 6 pm four terrorists were killed. While one terrorist is trapped in the siege, efforts are being made to catch him.

Second martyr Havildar Rajkumar

 

A young Havildar Rajkumar was also martyred in the encounter. The identity of the killed terrorists could not be ascertained immediately, but one of them could be Farooq Nalli.
