According to government data, India exported Basmati rice worth $680 million to Iran in the year 2023-24. India exports 19 percent of the total Basmati rice produced in India to Iran. If a war breaks out between Iran and Israel, it will have a direct impact on rice exports.

At the same time, tea worth 32 million dollars was exported to Iran in the year 2023-24. At the same time, India imports sunflower oil from Iran. If the tension between Israel and Iran increases, then sunflower oil may become expensive in the country.
