Israeli troops attacked a hospital in the Gaza Strip on Friday, forcing staff and patients out and then setting it on fire. The Israeli military said the hospital was being used as a base by Hamas.

 

One of the last hospitals operating in northern Gaza was attacked, according to the region's health ministry. Staff and patients were forcibly evacuated from the hospital. Hospital workers said that over the past three months, Israeli troops have attacked Kamal Adwan Hospital several times in an offensive against Hamas fighters.

 

Apart from this, the Israeli army attacked several other places in Gaza, in which 25 people were killed. Out of these, 15 people were killed in an attack on a house in Gaza City alone. Meanwhile, Israeli fighter jets bombed seven places on the Syria-Lebanon border to stop arms smuggling. Along with this, a truck full of explosives and weapons was seized.

 

Five Palestinian journalists killed in Israeli attack

Amid ceasefire efforts in West Asia, five Palestinian journalists were killed outside a hospital in the Gaza Strip in an Israeli airstrike on Wednesday night. After this claim by Gaza's Health Ministry, the Israeli army said on Thursday that it had carried out attacks targeting terrorists. Apart from this, 22 Palestinians were killed in Israeli attacks across the Gaza region. Israel also carried out air strikes in Lebanon's Baalbek region.

 

The target of the Israeli attack was the Nusrat refugee camp. Five journalists were killed in an explosion in a car parked outside the Al-Awda hospital near the camp. The journalists were working for the local Quds News Network. The Israeli army said it targeted a group of fighters from the Hamas-affiliated terrorist group Islamic Jihad, which started the war by attacking Israel on October 7, 2023.

 

Civil Defence recovered the bodies of seven people killed in the school

 

At the same time, the Committee to Protect Journalists says that more than 130 Palestinian journalists have been killed since the war began. According to Xinhua Agency, 22 Palestinians were killed on Wednesday in Israeli attacks in northern Gaza, including the Al-Muhabban School refugee camp for displaced people. Civil Defense has recovered the bodies of seven people killed in the school, 25 people have also been injured in the attack here. They have been admitted to local hospitals.
